Annuals

Annual Plants are a type of plant that lives for just one season.  In that brief period, they germinate, grow, flower, and set seeds for next year’s plants-unless they self-seed, they will need to be replanted every year.  Annual plants are typically fast growers, producing an abundance of vibrant flowers. They are great for borders, flowerbeds and containers to make a colorful splash in your garden space.

Tropicals

Tropical Plants are ones that grow naturally in a tropical climate. The climate is characterized by consistent warm temperatures (+64 degrees), high humidity, and abundant rainfall.  In Wisconsin, that means these plants must come inside to a warm sunny spot during the winter months. But Tropical Plants create a dramatic and dazzling presentation for your summer patio or porch with colorful blooms, vibrant leaves and flowers.

Perennials

Perennial Plants live for more than one growing season-they go dormant in the winter and return the following year, regrowing from the same roots.  Perennials may bloom for several weeks or months and require less water once established. Perennials come in brilliant colors, shapes and sizes showing well in flower beds, borders and cutting gardens.  They can also help define height progression in your garden.

Herbs

Herbs are plants with fragrant or aromatic properties. Herbs can be used to flavor food, included in fragrances, and even a part of natural medicines. Basil, parsley, rosemary, thyme, and dill are all herbs. Note that for each of these, the herb is the green or leafy part of some kind of plant. In the case of basil, the leaves can be quite large, whereas rosemary leaves are more like spines of an evergreen plant

Vegetables

Vegetables in the broadest sense, any kind of plant life or plant product, namely “vegetable matter”; in common, narrow usage, the term vegetable usually refers to the fresh edible portions of certain herbaceous plants—roots, stems, leaves, flowers, fruit, or seeds. These plant parts are either eaten fresh or prepared in a number of ways, usually as a savory, rather than sweet, dish.

Roses

Roses are native primarily to the temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere. Many roses are cultivated for their beautiful flowers, which range in colour from white through various tones of yellow and pink to dark crimson and maroon, and most have a delightful fragrance, which varies according to the variety and to climatic conditions..

Trees & Shrubs

Trees are are considered perennial woody plants. a tree It most often has many secondary branches supported clear of the ground on a single main stem or trunk with clear apical dominance. A minimum height specification and height at maturity are sometimes cited as part of the definition of a tree at maturity. Shrubs Woody plants that do not meet the definition of a tree by having multiple stems and/or are small in size are usually called shrubs.
