Annuals
Annuals – plants that live for just one season – offer abundant blooms and a rich palette of color. Every garden needs at least a few – and some gardeners make annuals their primary focus. Ideal for containers, hanging baskets, window boxes, borders and cutting beds – annuals provide certain pleasure. Choose from our dazzling varieties, including begonias, coleus, fuschia, geraniums, impatiens, lantana, lobelia, marigolds, pansies, petunias, snapdragons, zinnias – and much more.

Aquatics
The tranquility of a pond or the music of moving water adds yet another dimension to your garden enjoyment. From water lilies and blue flag, to fantails and butterfly koi, Shady Lane has what you need to “get your feet wet!” We make it easy to add this special attraction to your yard.

Perennials
If you like the idea of big returns on your gardening investment and attracting birds and butterflies, consider planting some perennials. By choosing the right location – soil, shade or sun – and a little bit of regular care, your perennials will provide decades of delight. Dependable garden perennials include astilbe, bee balm, bleeding hearts, columbine, coneflower, daisies, day lilies, delphinium, hosta, iris, lupine, ornamental grasses, peony, poppies, and more.

Herbs, Vegetables and Fruit
Nothing can match the flavor of fresh-picked berries, crisp wax beans, fragrant basil, and sun-ripened tomatoes. Find a place in your garden for at least a few fruit or vegetable plants and enjoy the true taste of summer! Or consider purchasing one of our pre-potted, ready-to-go gardens!

Ground Covers
Is there a difficult patch in your yard? Too shady, too sunny, too dry, too moist, or too steep? Ground covers to the rescue! These low-growing, perennial plants provide great solutions. If you have a challenging area in your year, be sure to talk to us about ground covers like sweet woodruff, pachysandra, and periwinkle.

Shrubs and Trees
Trees and shrubs help define your landscape with color, height, visual interest and shade. The possibilities are almost endless – deciduous or evergreen, dwarf varieties, and those that flower, produce berries or cones. If you need assistance choosing the best shrubs and trees for your landscape, please let us help you. We can make recommendations, provide advice and expertise – or map out a plan for your yard.

Shades of Fall
Extend the pleasure of your garden into the fall season with our huge selection of beautiful fall mums (bursting with blooms), cheerful pansies, perennials, ornamental grasses, corn shucks and hay bales. Keep in mind that fall is the optimum time to plant bulbs for next spring, too. We have a gorgeous selection – allium, crocus, hyacinth, narcissus, tulips – and more!
